Hundreds of people took part in a demonstration in Barcelona against the new COVID restrictions decreed by the Catalan government, which severely affect the operation of bars and restaurants, on Monday. Demonstrators protesting while drumming on pots and showing posters rejecting the measures implemented by the authorities could be seen in the streets. A couple of demonstrators were also seen showing their bottoms as part of the protest. "The night business has been closed for 10 months and we want a rescue, we want help because today they are closing about 30 percent of all nightclubs and another 30 or 40 [percent] of restaurants and music bars," said Manuel Boyano, owner of several nightclubs. The new restrictions establish slots from 7:30 am to 9:30 am. to serve breakfast and from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm for lunch. Dinners can only be picked up between 07:00 pm and 10:00 pm.
